There are a number of areas in which nanochemistry is being used. An example is the study of nano-sized contaminants in our environment and their effects on human beings and the environment itself. Nanochemistry is also finding applications in pharmaceutical industry, material science, polymer chemistry, etc. Nanoparticles are also being specifically synthesized for remediation purposes in natural environment (zero valent iron nanoparticles are an example). Light-emitting components and electronics parts are also being manufactured using nanochemistry.
