I have to create a mask that represents Romeo and Juliet. What are some colors or designs that represent a depressed character who is in love?

An interesting place to draw inspiration for a mask that represents the two depressed lovers can be found in Act Three, Scene 2, when Juliet learns that Romeo has murdered Tybalt. Juliet describes Romeo by saying,

Shakespeare utilizes oxymorons to represent Juliet's conflicting feelings, which also accurately describe a depressed lover. Regarding a mask that represents these two conflicting feelings, it might be best to draw inspiration from Juliet's comments in Act Three, Scene 2. Creating a mask that represents both positive and negative character traits on opposite sides would express the conflicting nature of depressed love. In terms of colors, it might be best to use contrasting colors on each side of the mask. Notably, the colors black and white would represent the darkness of depression and the purity of love. Gray and red could also represent depression and passion.
