I am building a model plane. Is there a type of finish that I can put on my balsa wood plane to decrease air resistance and help it slip through...

Air resistance is sometimes referred to as air drag. Air resistance is caused by the air particles through which an object, such as a plane, moves through or flies through. The air particles create a force that is in opposition to the relative motion of the plane. The amount of drag experienced by a plane is proportional to the plane’s velocity.

This product claims to reduce air drag due to its low surface energy. Having a low surface energy allows air particles to slide over the surfaces on which the product is placed. Increasing the velocity near the surface of the plane should decrease the air drag.
